Living Lab Model Housing as a Platform for Innovation
Our Living Lab model transforms affordable housing communities into permanent research and learning environments where residents, nonprofit organizations, researchers, students, and service providers collaborate to generate real-world solutions.
Rather than studying communities from the outside, CIHW embeds research directly into housing environments to evaluate what works, improve systems in real time, and develop scalable models that can inform housing policy and practice across Canada.
